Harmonic Journeys guests are invited to participate in a special, sacred Buffalo Dance Ceremony, hosted by Rainbow Eagle near Zanesville, Ohio on June 22, 2019.
The Community Buffalo Prayer Dance is a joyful community prayer ceremony for personal and planetary healing. The Buffalo (Great Provider) is an earthly example of the Creator’s all-encompassing Universal Love. The dance honors part of Rainbow Eagle’s personal vision. Respecting each person’s vision is an important part of traditional Native American spirituality.
This will be an important time of prayer for our individual journeys as well as for Mother Earth as we participate in the prophecy of the Seventh Fire time. Everyone chooses his or her experience - you may participate as much as you choose to. Please remember that this is not a performance or spectator event; this is a sacred ceremony and should be respected as such.
We will pray/dance barefoot to honor Mother Earth. Our soft loving steps are intended to be near Mother Earth with “every step a prayer.”
FOOD: Some level of fasting is asked of all who attend and therefore, no food should be brought near the arena. You may take along your own snacks for the bus trip, and we will stop along the way for fast food (so be sure to have some money with you), but eating is permitted only on the bus.
WHAT TO WEAR: Men wear plain long pants or jeans and women wear plain long skirts. Tops are to be a single color with no logos or designs. The dress is simple in order to eliminate distractions from our prayerful intent. Jewelry and other ornamentations are discouraged.
NOT PERMITTED: Cameras, video or audio recorders, alcohol or drugs, and firearms are not permitted anywhere on the grounds. Cell phones should be silenced while on site. No photos are permitted.
DRUMMING: You may bring a hand drum. Young people will be given first permission to drum under Rainbow Eagle's direction.
TIMES: Please arrive at Baron's Bus Lines (12800 Brookpark, Brookpark OH, 44130) at 7:30am. We will leave at 8:00. We expect to return to Brookpark around 6:00pm.
All healing energies will be focused inside the dance arena and the community prayer pipe will be available for all participants, therefore, it will not be appropriate to use other healing modalities.
First Aid will be available on the grounds.
The Community Buffalo Prayer Dance Ceremony provides an opportunity for people of diverse backgrounds and belief systems to come together in a loving community setting for the purpose of healing and prayer. We welcome you and look forward to supporting your Sacred Journey.
